Alternative Learning – The Collective Enterprise

The Collective Enterprise is a multifaceted project about alternative learning and the issue of empty buildings in Oslo. The intention is to create a strategy for using vacant buildings as alternative learning platforms for students, founded on coll­abor­ation and interdisciplinarity. In practice, I seek to create a framework and a physical platform for students to generate, apply and use knowledge and other university capabilities outside academic environments.

1. The 3D diagram is a tool to sketch and develop scenarios of possible collective enterprises in Oslo, based on the interplay of its composing elements (empty houses – the round shapes, universities – the squared shapes, edu­cational programs, the colors and students’ collaborations – the color combi­nations of the rounded shapes). The diagram is used to test and determine possibilities of scenario configurations in a visual playful manner.
